2006/2007 Program Expands to Include Bioproduct,
Energy and Environmental Technology Sectors
Canada’s Top 10 Life Science Companies Competition has once again enriched its program. This year a new competition has been added to the program to showcase Canada's emerging bioproduct, energy and environmental technology sectors.
Both the Canada's Top 10 Life Science Companies Competition, and the Canada's Top Bioproduct, Energy and Environmental Technology Companies Competition are annual national competitions. The awards are presented to growth-oriented companies and are chosen by an independent expert panel of
Canadian and U.S. venture capitalists.
Competition Finalists will make a 15 minute presentation during special sessions at BioNorth 2006 to an audience of angels, VC's and potential strategic partners including licensing executives from multinational biotech and biopharmaceutical companies.
The finalists receive significant exposure in Canadian and US financial and biotechnology, bioproduct, energy, environmental and business related media.In addition finalists and alumni will also have the opportunity to network with key business executives at special receptions to be held in conjunction with major events throughout 2006 and 2007.
The 2006-2007 competition winners will be presented by our sponsor - Borden Ladner Gervais LLP - in the Top 10 session on the afternoon of Monday, November 20, 2006 (life sciences) and Tuesday, November 21, 2006 (bioproducts, energy and environmental technologies) at BioNorth 2006. Finalists will also be treated to a venture capital dinner (by invitation only) hosted by our sponsor - Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.
